Texas food bank programs feed 3 million individual Texans each year, including 1.2 million children.
1 in 7 Texans currently receive SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps.
Texas food banks provide food for over 3,300 local soup kitchens and food pantries statewide.
Texas food banks provide more than 279 million pounds of food to hungry Texans each year.
90% of the households fed by Texas food banks have homes, and nearly half are working.
Only half of the Texans who may be eligible for SNAP (food stamps) benefits are receiving them.
